This Day in Braves History: December 4

1968 - The Astros trade Bob Aspromonte to the Braves for infielder Marty Martinez. Aspromonte was the last original Colt .45 on Houston roster and will be the last Brooklyn Dodger to player in the majors.

1975 - Ted Turner enters a tentative purchase agreement to buy the Atlanta Braves. He would be approved as the team’s new owner on January 14, 1976.

2008 - The Braves acquire pitchers Javier Vazquez and Boone Logan from the Chicago White Sox in exchange for Tyler Flowers, Jon Gilmore, Brent Lillibridge and Santos Rodriguez.
