It was Tuesday afternoon on my weekly radio segment that I suggest Atlanta seemed to have a pretty good group together in the bullpen: sure, they weren’t going to be spectacular, but at least they seemed to be okay in their respective roles.
Then Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon happened, and blew all of that up.
Now, instead of coming to a homestand with momentum and confidence against two teams (Pirates and Padres) that the Braves need to overcome to have any kind of playoff aspirations, they limp back to Atlanta in roster turmoil.
It was only two games, but oh – so revealing.
