The many homes of the Atlanta Braves’ spring training: a brief history

NORTH PORT, Fla. (WRBL) — For the Atlanta Braves, spring training is about experimentation and change — and not even the stadium is safe from those ideas.

The Braves have trained all over the United States, but they have an extensive history in Florida. Three different stadiums have been used by three different versions of the Braves spanning 75 years of ball club history in the sunshine state.

Bradenton Braves Field: Bradenton, Fla. 1948 – 1962

After being coined the “Miracle Braves” thanks to the club’s 1914 World Series comeback victory, the team’s owner’s financial troubles 21 years later saw them taken over by Major League Baseball.
