The Braves were silent on the trade front this year, at least with regards to deals made on deadline day. The club opted to stand pat aside from the addition of Tommy Milone, which will hopefully stabilize at least spot in the rotation. There is absolutely no question that Atlanta would have benefited from the addition of at least one more veteran starter, but the possibility exists that Mike Foltynewicz, Sean Newcomb, Kyle Wright, etc. could step up. The result was certainly underwhelming after the club was featured prominently in Mike Clevinger rumors but, according to Alex Anthopoulos, the right deal never materialized.
