With the Braves clinching the division earlier in the week, a lot of the drama was taken out of the team’s final series of the regular season against the Red Sox. The team even took the step to give Freddie Freeman a much deserved day off. However, there was still a baseball game to play.
Unfortunately, it just wasn’t the Braves’ night for the most part. They had one of their nights where they were terrible with runners in scoring position, Mark Melancon did not look great in the 9th, and Chris Martin had a rare off night in relief.
