The Braves played themselves a weird game on Saturday night as Ian Anderson struggled early, regained his composure, the Braves battled back to within a run, and then all of that didn’t matter because Shane Greene imploded in the top of the 9th as the Braves lost by the count of 7-2.
There were definitely some bright spots as Adam Duvall and Travis d’Arnaud each had solo shots to keep the Braves close, but the brightest spot may be how Ian Anderson recovered from a brutal first inning which saw him walk the bases loaded immediately, with a little help from truly shoddy umpiring, and then give of a pair of runs.
