The Daily Chop: Scrimmage notes, Ronald Acuña Jr. and more

The Atlanta Braves held another scrimmage at Truist Park on Thursday. Mike Foltynewicz came away with the headline performance allowing just one baserunner, a walk to Charlie Culberson, in a three-inning scoreless appearance. Catchers Travis d’Arnaud and William Contreras both homered off of Sean Newcomb while Charlie Culberson hit a two-run blast off of reliever Grant Dayton.

Brian Snitker indicated that the Braves will hold regular workouts Friday, Saturday and Sunday and then return with an intrasquad game that will take more of an exhibition game feel with assigned umpires.
