The Atlanta Braves made some significant roster moves on Monday bringing back Nick Markakis and Tyler Flowers while parting ways with longtime pitcher Julio Teheran. Apparently there are more changes on the way as it was reported on Tuesday that the organization is once again shaking up its player development staff.
The Athletic’s David O’Brien reported that director of player development Dom Chiti would be reassigned and that assistant director of player development-personnel AJ Scola was let go entirely. No replacements have been named yet and there could be additional changes or departures.
Some of this is no doubt a continuation of GM Alex Anthopoulos continuing to overhaul the organization.
