It has been a long and winding road but we have finally made it to Opening Day for the Atlanta Braves who will take on the New York Mets Friday afternoon. No matter how you feel about a truncated 60-game season that will take place without fans in the middle of a pandemic, it was a great feeling to see players back on the field Thursday night participating in meaningful games.
The Braves departed for New York on Thursday and officially announced their Opening Day roster. There wasn’t a lot of surprises but non-roster players Matt Adams and Tyler Matzek were added to the 40-man roster.
