The Daily Chop: New Lineup Looks Great, Bullpen Game a Success, Plus More

The Braves’ bats and bullpen were ready and productive on Tuesday.

Three more home runs and a great performance from Atlanta’s relief corps were more than enough to allow the Braves to earn their third straight victory and maintain a three game lead over the Phillies in the NL East. Jesse Chavez, Drew Smyly, and others did a great job of keeping Arizona’s bats silent.

It was the Braves bats that provided the fireworks for the evening.

Austin Riley, Ozzie Albies, and Jorge Soler each went deep on Tuesday evening. Soler has looked good from the leadoff spot so far, while Albies and Riley bats have come alive once again in Arizona.
