The Atlanta Braves ended their six-game road trip on a good note by sweeping a doubleheader from the Washington Nationals to score their first two victories of the season. Atlanta dropped their first four games of the season for the first time since 2012. Things turned out ok for the 2012 Braves as they went on to win 94 games and secured the wild card in the National League. Still, an 0-4 start naturally produced some clear overreactions.
That is understandable given the high expectations the Braves have for 2021. We are coming off of a 60-game regular season in which each game did have more meaning.
