The Daily Chop: Braves Earn Game 1 Victory, Charlie Morton Done For Season, Plus More

Without a doubt, the Braves experienced two occurrences on Tuesday night that could heavily impact the remainder of the World Series.

On the positive side of things, the Braves earned a convincing Game 1 victory on the road to steal homefield advantage from the Astros and seize the momentum before Game 2.

Unfortunately, the Braves will now be without Charlie Morton for the rest of the World Series.

A broken leg will result in Morton being removed and replaced on the Braves roster. His absence will certainly be significant, as perhaps the most noticeable advantage for the Braves entering the World Series against the Astros was experience and track record when it came to the starting rotation.
