It had long been suspected but Minor League Baseball made it official on Tuesday announcing that the 2020 season had been cancelled. It is a tough pill to swallow for a lot of people who love the game and it is likely a precursor to some more significant changes that are on their way to the minor leagues in general. Just because it was expected doesn’t make it any easier.
There was also some good news in regards to minor league players as Baseball America reported that the Atlanta Braves have committed to pay their players through the end of July.
