Just when the Atlanta Braves’ offense seemed to wake up and avoid a sweep against the Arizona Diamondbacks, the hope and excitement vanished as quickly as it came in the most horrific way.
Although the series already belonged to the Diamondbacks after the Braves dropped the first two games during the week, Thursday’s outcome hit different, as it wasn’t just the fact that they loss (and are now seven games under .500) but how they loss.
The Braves took the lead early in the game starting in the second inning, but most of the action didn’t start until the bottom of the fifth.
