MIAMI — On Friday, the Atlanta Braves made recent history when they debuted one of the youngest pitchers to start an MLB game.
Didier Fuentes, who in April was pitching for the Rome Emperors in High-A, made his MLB debut in a game against the Miami Marlins.
Fuentes, who turned 20 just three days before his first MLB start, is the youngest player who's started for the Braves since 19-year-old Mike McQueen started on June 23, 1970, according to Mark Bowman of MLB.
