Cobb County police said a man who is accused of shooting at an officer at Cumberland Mall over the weekend was shot and killed by police Wednesday night following an incident on the Chastain Road bridge that goes over Interstate 75.
Police said the incident happened around 5 p.m. when a Cobb County police officer attempted to catch the man. Investigators said the officer pull the man over in his car when the man showed a gun and the officer shot him.
Cobb police said the man was wanted for shooting a police officer on Sunday at Cumberland Mall.
