Sumter native JP Sears takes the mound against Atlanta, gets a no-decision as the Athletics defeat the Braves in 11 innings

The graduate of Wilson Hall who played at The Citadel was the starting pitcher for the A's in their Thursday evening game against the Braves.

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A Sumter native was on the mound Thursday night as he faced the Atanta Braves on the West Coast.

Wilson Hall graduate JP Sears, who had an All-America career at The Citadel, was the starting pitcher for the Oakland Athletics.

Sears came into the game with a 7-7 record and he left the mound with that same record as he had a no-decision.
