Though the trade was made known during the early morning hours of the day, the Braves have officially made room on the roster for their new catcher.
As was mentioned at the time of the trade, the Braves made the move for Stephen Vogt because the cost was reasonable and he certainly seems to be a better option than what the Braves have relied upon since the loss of Travis d’Arnaud. It would seem logical that once d’Arnaud is able to return to action, hopefully in August, Vogt would then be a viable backup and left-handed hitting option off the bench.
