Snitker ejected in fifth after arguing balk call

ANAHEIM -- Braves manager Brian Snitker was ejected during of the fifth inning of Wednesday's series finale against the Angels with Atlanta leading the game, 1-0.

Snitker was removed by first-base umpire Ted Barrett after disputing a balk call against starting pitcher Jaime Garcia.

With two outs, Garcia was called for the balk while throwing to first base in an attempt to pick off Angels center fielder Shane Robinson, who was awarded second base.

Robinson stole third before Garcia induced Cliff Pennington into an inning-ending groundout.

The ejection marks the fourth of the 61-year-old's career as a Major League skipper, and his first of the season.
