The Atlanta Braves will try to finish off a long road trip on a good note Sunday evening against the San Diego Padres. The Braves are 6-3 on the trip not counting Friday’s loss in suspended game from late July. Atlanta will go with a bullpen game Sunday with Jesse Chavez the likely starter. Drew Smyly is also a safe bet to pitch at some point. The Padres will counter with right-hander Joe Musgrove.
