As expected, Sean Newcomb has been activated for Tuesday’s game against the Cubs. To make room on the roster, Chad Sobotka has been optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett.
The #Braves today returned LHP Sean Newcomb from his major league rehabilitation assignment and reinstated him from the 7-day concussion injured list. Following last night’s game, the club optioned RHP Chad Sobotka to Triple-A Gwinnett.

Newcomb had been on the seven-day Injured List after being hit in the back of the head by a JT Realmuto line drive on June 15.
