Sean Murphy, Braves power their way past Guardians

Sean Murphy belted a solo homer, drove in two runs and scored three times to highlight his four-hit performance, powering the visiting Atlanta Braves to an 8-1 victory over the Cleveland Guardians on Wednesday

Austin Riley homered to lead off the seventh inning and Matt Olson did the same in the ninth to cap his three-hit night. Eddie Rosario had a two-run single and Olson and Murphy each drove in a run as part of a four-run first inning for the Braves, who banged out 19 hits en route to posting their 18th win in their last 20 games

Michael Soroka scattered five hits over 4 2/3 scoreless innings before Michael Tonkin (5-2) induced David Fry to ground out to end the fifth.
