The 2019 Home Run Derby was won by New York Mets rookie first baseman Pete Alonso. That was not a surprise as he was picked by many to win the entire thing (myself included). But Ronald Acuna Jr. represented the Atlanta Braves very well and put on a good showing by driving out to all parts of the field.
The story of the night was Vladimir Guerrero Jr, though, and the amazing power show he put on — and to a lesser degree Joc Pederson.
