Ronald Acuña Jr. named starting outfielder in All-Star Game

Ronald Acuña Jr. will be in his own right field for the All-Star Game.

Acuña was voted a starting outfielder for this month’s All-Star game at Truist Park, MLB announced Wednesday evening. This is Acuña’s fifth All-Star nod, but he says this one will be the most special since it’s being hosted at the only major-league ballpark he’s called home.

“I think it’s a dream come true to be playing in my fifth All-Star game and more importantly to be playing in front of the best fans in baseball,” Acuña said via team interpreter Franco Garcia, who will likely join him as his interpreter for the extravaganza.
