Red Sox trade Silvino Bracho to Atlanta Braves for cash considerations

Shortly after calling up him, the Red Sox shipped Silvino Bracho out.

Red Sox Chief Baseball Officer Chaim Bloom announced late Thursday that Boston was sending Bracho, a right-handed reliever, to the Atlanta Braves for cash considerations.

Bracho, who’d spent the season pitching for the Worcester Red Sox was called up Tuesday to provide bullpen depth in Toronto while Tanner Houck’s vaccination status made him unavailable. He didn’t pitch Tuesday or Wednesday and was designated for assignment before the trade was announced.

Bracho, a 29-year-old native of Venezuela made 92 appearances for the Diamondbacks from 2015-20.
