Nov. 10—STORY UPDATE: The MDJ has been informed by Academy Sports + Outdoor that the Dansby Swanson appearance set for Wednesday afternoon has been postponed.
"We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to sharing a new date for this event soon," Academy Sports said in a news release.
Atlanta Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson, a Cobb County native, will appear at a meet-and-greet Wednesday at Academy Sports + Outdoors in Kennesaw, the store announced.
Swanson, a Kennesaw native and Marietta High School graduate, is a week removed from helping guide the Braves to their first World Series championship since 1995.
