Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies can't catch a break. Right as it began to look like the Ozzie of old was returning, the switch-hitter was pulled from the series opener against the Washington Nationals mid-at bat.
After taking an awkward swing, Albies walked towards the dugout, talked with Brian Snitker and the team trainer, appearing to be favoring his left wrist, and then promptly exited the game. Not long after, word got out that Albies has a broken hamate bone which not only ends his season, but raises some uncomfortable questions about his future going forward.
