ATLANTA -- When the Braves open SunTrust Park at the start of the 2017 season, the mixed-use development surrounding the stadium will include a 16-floor Omni Hotel that will be situated directly behind the left-center-field stands.
"This will fit hand and glove with our fan plaza and everything that we're going to be doing," Braves chairman and CEO Terry McGuirk said. "When [Omni Hotels] showed interest, we were with them 100 percent."
The Braves announced their partnership with Omni Hotels during a Tuesday morning news conference that was staged directly across the street from where construction workers are currently building the baseball stadium as well as the retail and entertainment options that will surround it.
