Lexington will be a little cooler this weekend, thanks to “The Freeze.”
“The Freeze,” also known as Durran Dunn, is famous for donning an ice-blue spandex suit and racing fans in between innings at Atlanta Braves games. Fans can even win $100 gift cards if they’re able to “Beat the Freeze.” Dunn is one of the many unique competitors at this weekend’s USA Track and Field Masters Outdoor Championships scheduled Thursday through Sunday at the University of Kentucky.
The USATF Masters offers competitions from local to international levels for athletes who are 25 years old or older.
