What a night for 36-year-old left-hander Chris Sale. The 6-foot-6 veteran put on a clinic as the Braves beat the Mets for the second straight night. Atlanta scored five runs and shut out visiting New York.
Sale was the star of the evening, recording 26 outs (8u2154 innings), coming just one shy of a complete-game shutout. After a two-out single from Brandon Nimmo in the ninth, Raisel Iglesias came in to close it out.
