Joe Torre has done nearly everything imaginable in the game of baseball. Soon to turn 85, Torre has won four World Series titles, made nine All-Star appearances as a player, won the National League MVP award, and been named American League Manager of the Year twice.
His No. 6 jersey was retired by the New York Yankees, and he’s a member of both the Atlanta Braves and St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame.
On Tuesday, MLB made a special announcement about the legendary manager who won over 2,300 games in his career:
