ATLANTA — The start of the series between the Mets and Braves will not start on time.
The series opener on Tuesday night at Truist Park has been delayed due to thunderstorms in the area. A tentative start time has yet to be announced.
The Mets enter the three-game set looking to bounce back from a three-game sweep against the Rays last weekend at home. David Peterson will look to play the role of stopper on the heels of a complete-game shutout with six strikeouts against the Nationals.
The Braves shuffled their rotation to have their best arms on the mound for this series.
