At 39-47 entering play on Friday, the Braves are having a shocking season after seven straight years of playoff berths. They're seven games out of a Wild Card spot, and they'd have to leapfrog six teams to get to October.
Few would have foreseen a trade deadline fire sale in Atlanta, and at this point, the bigger concern may be how much they have to sell. If they're only going to move on from players in contract years, they barely have any chips to move.
