Majors-worst Rockies look to 'right the ship' vs. Braves

April 30 - Colorado Rockies manager Bud Black could point to any number of reasons for his club's historically poor record this season. Starting pitching might be at the top of his list.

The major-league-worst Rockies will look to snap an eight-game losing streak when they face the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday afternoon in Denver.

Atlanta is seeking a sweep of the three-game series after winning 8-2 on Tuesday for its ninth victory in its past 11 games.

The Braves pummeled Colorado starter German Marquez for seven runs on 11 hits over 5 1/3 innings.

"As good as the starting pitching was the first couple weeks, it's faltered here lately," Black said.
