One day after playing hero at the plate, Max Fried will return to his traditional role when the Atlanta Braves begin a three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Fried came through with a pinch-hit single in Sunday’s wild come-from-behind win against the Marlins. Monday he will try to pick up where he left off in his last start where he limited the Mets to just two runs over five innings. The Pirates will counter with right hander Chase De Jong.
