Mark Bowman of MLB.com is reporting that the Braves have granted Jonny Venters his unconditional release.

As you can see the Braves are intent on bringing back veteran lefty Jerry Blevins as the countermove to letting Venters go.
Venters has had a pretty awful start to 2019 sporting an ERA of 17.36 and not even good peripherals (13.62 FIP). Venters won the Comeback Player of the Year award in 2018 after having a successful return from his third Tommy John surgery.
