The Braves’ bullpen woes at this point have been well chronicled. While the unit has shown some improvement recently, overall the Braves’ relievers have struggled as they currently sport a 4.46 ERA, 4.85 FIP, and 5.3 BB/9 collectively. One of the relievers that has shockingly struggled the most has been AJ Minter. Minter showed a ton of promise in the minor leagues as a prospect as well as last year, but 2019 has not been nearly as kind. In 15 appearances for the Braves this season, he has a 9.82 ERA and 5.04 FIP. Some of those numbers look worse because of bad luck on balls in play, but he has also been walking WAY too many batters which has compounded the problem.
