The Atlanta Braves are likely to be sellers at the trade deadline as the 2025 Major League Baseball season has been a disappointing one for the team.
Atlanta is 40-51 and in fourth place in the NL East. With the playoffs unlikely, the Braves will likely be sellers ahead of the trade deadline on July 31. Ahead of the deadline, MLB insider Jim Bowden of The Athletic believes Atlanta needs to try and find their future shortstop at the deadline.
“I don’t believe the Braves need to be aggressive. However, finding a long-term solution at shortstop and acquiring more young pitching should be the goal,” Bowden wrote.
