On Memorial Day I went to a local high school baseball game, about an hour away from me to check out a two way prospect committed to UConn. That is of course provided he doesn’t end up signing after being drafted next week, as he is in the Baseball America Top 500, as well as in the Top 500 for Perfect Game.
This prospect is 6’4” 210 pound Reggie Crawford, a pitcher/first baseman from North Schuylkill High School in Frackville, Pennsylvania. Upon meeting him two things stood out immediately.
I got there just before the game started and with Reggie minutes away from pitching the top of the first in the biggest game of his life to that point- a district championship game where they needed a win to advance their season, he took the moment to introduce himself and shake my hand.
