Coming off of a split in Boston, the Atlanta Braves are scheduled to open a key three-game series against the NL East leading New York Mets. I say scheduled because Friday’s forecast for Flushing is calling for heavy rain throughout the evening which would seemingly put Friday’s opener in jeopardy.
If they are able to get the game in, then it will feature a pitching matchup between Atlanta’s Ian Anderson and New York’s Taijuan Walker.
Anderson has been a key part of the Braves’ rotation since making his debut last August. He has pitched well of late allowing just one run in his last two starts.
