Hector Olivera goes 1-for-4 after joining Gwinnett Braves

Hector Olivera hit .833 in his short stop at the Braves’ Gulf Coast League team.

Now the 31-year-old left fielder will continue his rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett after being promoted Tuesday.

The G-Braves play at Syracuse Tuesday night.

Olivera was 5-for-6 and walked twice in his rehab assignment in two games in the rookie league, not counting a strikeout in Sunday’s game that was stopped due to rain.

Olivera was suspended 82 games by Major League Baseball after he was arrested and charged with assault and battery April 13 following an alleged domestic-violence incident at the Atlanta Braves’ team hotel in Arlington, Va.
