The Gwinnett Braves, undergoing a change in branding, have published the finalists for their upcoming name change. Fans have through 7/24 to select their favorite out of these final 6 options: Buttons, Big Mouths, Gobblers, Hush Puppies, Lamb Chops, Sweet Teas.
I suppose those who entered the contest were a bit hungry and five of the six options all relate to food, and then of course you have the Buttons which refers to Button Gwinnett - the provisional president of Georgia in 1777.
Gwinnett Braves GM North Johnson had this to say about the process according to Will Hammock of the Gwinnett Daily Post:
