Freddie Freeman left Wednesday’s 8-4 win over the Toronto Blue Jays after being struck in the left hand by a pitch from reliever Aaron Loup. X-Rays performed at the park were inconclusive and Freeman is scheduled to undergo an MRI and a CT scan on Thursday.
Despite winning their third straight game, the mood surrounding the Braves was predictably dark following the game. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s David O’Brien reports that Freeman was hit “on a bone on the inside of his left hand, below the palm and just above the wrist.
