Awards week will continue Thursday night with the announcement of the 2020 MVP Awards. Atlanta’s Freddie Freeman will be looking to become the seventh different player in Braves’ history to be named league MVP. Freeman is one of three finalists including Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts and Padres third baseman Manny Machado. Former Braves MVP Dale Murphy will be announcing the winner live on MLB Network Thursday night.
Freeman will be looking to join an exclusive club in Braves franchise history to be named MVP. The last Brave to win the MVP Award was Chipper Jones in 1999.
