Announced on Wednesday night, former Alabama Crimson Tide shortstop Jim Jarvis has been traded to the Atlanta Braves as part of a deal at the MLB trade deadline.
Jarvis was the return for Atlanta in a trade with the Detroit Tigers that sent right-handed pitcher Rafael Montero the other way.
A former 11th round pick by Detroit in the 2023 MLB draft out of Alabama, Jarvis is currently in his third professional season with the Tigers organization, appearing in 77 games with the Double-A Erie SeaWolves. So far this season, Jarvis has slashed .
