BOSTON -- As the Braves entered a daunting week that will pit them against some of baseball's toughest starting pitchers, Tyler Flowers and Mike Foltynewicz provided them exactly what they needed to conquer Chris Sale during Sunday afternoon's 7-1 win over the Red Sox at Fenway Park.
Flowers again got the best of his former White Sox batterymate when he drilled a three-run homer in the second inning against Sale. The early advantage provided comfort to Foltynewicz, who carried a no-hit bid until Andrew Benintendi doubled off the left-field wall with one out in the sixth inning.
