Deal for the Mets Makes Liberty Braves Stock Look Attractive

Shares of the tracker, which were up 5 cents, to $20.04, on Tuesday after rising 7% Monday, have fallen about 30% this year as a result of the abbreviated baseball season, which will depress the team’s revenue, which were $438 million in 2019.

The Braves Group includes the team, Truist Park, a stadium completed in 2017, and a real-estate development around the stadium.

John Tinker, an analyst at G. Research, has been bullish on the tracker, putting a private market value of $44 a share on the tracking stock. G. Research is affiliated Mario Gabelli’s Gamco Investors, a holder of the tracking stock.
