The Atlanta Braves officially released their playoff roster for the Wild Card round against the Cincinnati Reds Wednesday morning. The Braves will carry 15 position players and 13 pitchers for the first round. The biggest surprises are the additions of Cristian Pache, William Contreras and Charlie Culberson. Ender Inciarte and Adeiny Hechavarria were not included.
Pache made his Major League debut this season but it was only a short stint on the active roster as he appeared in just two games and received four plate appearances. He was quickly returned to the alternate site and his debut was explained as having no other outfield options on the 40-man roster.
