It has been approximately two months since Atlanta Braves outfielder Marcell Ozuna was arrested for a domestic violence incident at his home on May 29. There had been no news on how his case was progressing until today
Amy Dash of Fox Sports Radio and SportsTalkATL’s Jake Gordon report that after reviewing bodycam video, prosecutors have decided not to charge Ozuna with felony aggravated assault and will instead charge him with two misdemeanors. The report adds that Ozuna’s representation and the district attorney’s office are in talks for a plea deal and Ozuna is due back in court on August 10.
