Chris Withrow Injury: MRI shows no structural damage in elbow

The Atlanta Braves got some more good news on the injury front Saturday when an MRI revealed no structural damage in reliever Chris Withrow’s pitching elbow. Withrow went on the disabled list earlier this week after he had lingering soreness for several days.

Brian Snitker told Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s David O’Brien that Withrow would rejoin the team on Tuesday and would then resume throwing.

The lingering soreness was concerning for Withrow given that he had Tommy John surgery in 2014. The Braves acquired him from the Dodgers in 2015 in a six-player deal that also brought Juan Uribe to Atlanta.
